Buy Cheap

This is not NEW news. I'm only repeating what has been said before for those who didn't pay attention the first time or for those who's this is their first time. (Virgins) Here's the deal. If you want a Iron 883 or a Nightster. Stop. Read this first. Stop visiting the Harley build your own webpage. Start searching Craigslist in your nearby cities. All of the bikes above were found in a search under 2 minutes and none of them cost (asking prices) over $4200.00. Think about it for a minute. That is HALF what you are going to pay for a bottom line 883. Stop and take a minute. Let it sink in slowly. Call up one or two of these sellers and see if they are willing to go lower (say, $100 or $200 or more lower than their asking price). Most USED Sportsters have less than 1000 miles on them per year. Why? Because the person selling it, is you in the past. Someone who wanted a Harley, bought a Sportster and after having sex with it a few nights decided the biker blood just didn't flow through their veins. Their loss, YOUR GAIN. (I bought a '97 with 10K miles on it... Do The MATH. They're practically factory showroom condition). Find a Lowes or Home Depot. They have everything you would need to "modify" your Harley (sans oil and tires). Flat Black Spray Paint $4.99 tops for the good stuff.
Tips: You pay less for "chrome" not more. When they tell you it's got $3000.00 worth of accessories, ask them if they can keep the accessories and deduct that from the price. They wont of course, but they'll understand your not interested in bolt on knick-knacks. Any thing like engine guards, highway pegs, saddle bag rails, luggage racks can be "unbolted" and sold on eGhey. So, are you ready to get "sloppy?" ladyhump

all those pictures are from San Diego craigslist
It too longer to load the pictures than to find cheap bikes

Taco Moto Tuesday S.D.

Taco Moto Tuesday S.D. is coming back.

We tried TMT in October and it worked out great.  Our second attempt wasn't as great.  Rain, Lightning, and Thunder stopped most from coming.   this month the holidays have crippled us. But don't fear.  We will be back on schedule.

The first Tuesday of every month we will meet up at the Spring Valley Inn (the Springer) At 6:30pm.
We'll leave at 7:00pm to ride to a taco shop somewhere in San Diego. If you can't make the meet up the final destination will be announced before so you can show up and eat

Thursday night ride to Disneyland

Rode from San Diego to Disneyland to find out they had closed early.

After eating at an over priced Downtown Disney eatery we started back to San Diego. The night was warm and it felt good going down the coast highway

When we got to the gas station and fueled up. There was a problem. My bike wouldn't start. After trying what I could with my limited tools. I pushed my bike a mile and a half to Moto Brooke's house and got a ride home.

Moral of the story is.
I hate motorcycles

Salvation Mountain

Tried to get breakfast here but I don't know what was going on. So after 20 minutes of waiting  it was time to move on

Got breakfast here. Not a bad place

Went with a bigger tire. Guess it was too big

I liked this living space that was never used. I would gladly move in

It was hot. Just ask Moto Brooke

There and back plus riding around the 3rd world country of slab city. It was a 340 mile adventure on and Ironhead riding 2 up in 105 degree heat. This was probably not the ideal time to make the trip but I still had fun
